Vladimir Palibrk

Serbia

Winner of the “Buk” prize in the nomination – The best videotext

Vladimir represents a group of authors from the gallery ELEKTRIKA in Pancevo (Serbia). One of them is a writer – Dzaizku, the other is a graphic artist – Vuk Palibrk and the third is a photographer – Marko Krojac.

They joined their forces to make this short poetic film «DUNGA DON’T CRY».

In addition to their video and literary works, they draw comics, compose and play music.

As for the movie “DUNGA DON’T CRY”, this short film is dedicated to our innocent children’s games and directly related to integrity and universality of language – it is supported by an oral story, written in the dadaizmic form (serb. “zaumniy yazyik”). This video has inherent and universal meaning by itself, without the need to translate to some specific local language – it should be understood through sound and energy that it carries. This videopoetry work should not to be understood by logical sense – it enters the deeper layers of your consciousness in rhythm, hidden in your existence, and plays with them, creating a particular mix of pleasant things.
